Dolcenduro (Ventimiglia)

Above Dolceacqua near Ventimiglia, the route leads up to Monte Erisetta. A first-class trail starts from the summit and, after a few ups and downs, leads quickly and technically down to Camporosso. A varied tour with some tricky trail sections and typically rocky terrain.

Description

The tour starts at Vallecrosia beach, from where you ride along the cycle path along the Nervia river and then on the main road to Camporosso. From here, the route continues to Dolceacqua. As soon as you enter the town, turn right up Via Monsignor Tornatore. Continue up this road until you turn left onto the SP69. Now stay on the SP69, which later becomes a gravel road and becomes noticeably steeper. In a bend to the right, the trail climbs steeply, you keep left and soon have to push. This is the way up to Monte Erisetta. The final section is very steep.

On Monte Erisetta, the trail starts and gets right down to business. Very steep and rocky with loose ground, you have to find the right line. Later, the trail goes up and down from ridge to ridge. Partly technical, partly fast, you have a lot of fun in this wonderful terrain. There are also a few enduro motorcycles on the road here, but that doesn't make much difference to the trail. At some point, you briefly rejoin the SP69 and ride around Monte Baraccone. In a sharp left-hand bend, the trail branches off to Camporosso. Finally, you take the same route back to Vallecrosia for an aperitivo at the Bar del Sole.
