Hachelnock
Description
The tour starts at the Bad Bleiberg thermal spa. From here, the route leads along asphalt roads and later along side roads with moderate inclines before switching to gravel. On the cross-country trail, you ride up to the saddle with an unobstructed view of the Dobratsch. The rideable route ends at an altitude of just under 1,400 meters above sea level, after which you can push your mountain bike to the summit of the Hachelnock. In terms of the panorama, there are only a few scattered but very impressive views along the Erzberg high trail. The descent from the summit to Bleiberg-Nötsch is smooth, with a difficulty rating of S2 on the singletrack scale. Here, you will find a classic, old mule track that leads riders straight downhill with a relatively constant gradient and no significant key sections. The return to the starting point is via quiet side roads.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
