From Beinwil am See, the route climbs steeply up to the Hochwacht viewing tower. The following section always follows the ridge to Dürrenäsch and from here across the open agricultural area to Boniswil. In the neighboring village of Seengen, the ascent into the Tannwald forest starts with the trail descent to Villmergen on the opposite side. If this trail is too challenging for you, take the forest road past the Heidenhübel ruins. From Villmergen, the route continues via Büttikon and Uezwil to Niesenberg and through the lovely forest and meadow terrain to Mettmenschongau. From Rüedike there is a descent to Aesch, followed by an ascent along the country road at Mosen with five hairpin bends. You return to Beinwil through the forest.
