Iron Bike Race

The Irob Bike Race can also be ridden outside of the competition. The training route corresponds almost completely to the well-known marathon and is fully signposted.

Description

The Iron Bike Race starts in Einsiedeln. From here, the route initially follows the Sihlsee lake to Egg, then up to Etzel and via St. Meinrad to Wissegg. This is followed by the descent to Willerzell, the ascent to Sattelegg and then downhill again via Büel, this time to Euthal. The ascent to Wisstannenweid rides along a small road - just like the following descent to Studen. The route continues to Waag, then up to Oberiberg and on via Fuederegg to Spirstock. This is followed by the route to Ibergeregg and on to Holzegg. Now it's downhill to Brunni, then up again on a small road and via Bruust to Alpthal. Back to Einsiedeln, the route climbs uphill again via Chälen, then downhill on a small road to Einsiedeln.

Tip: The original route is also available in a short (51 km) and a medium version (74 km).
