From Herzogenbuchsee, you initially ride along country roads to Bollodingen, where the hilly landscape of the Emmental begins. The route now follows the edge of the forest to Riedtwil, after which you reach Wynigen via Rüedisbach. From Wynigen, you now climb up the north side of the Lueg with its wonderful panoramic view of the Emmental and the snow-capped mountains on the horizon. You then ride back along the road and reach Affoltern. Now it's time for the return journey over the many hills between the Önztal and Langetental valleys. At Linden you climb up again to Dorneggütsch. A fun singletrail descent now leads to Oberdorf, and instead of riding straight back to Herzogenbuchsee, you climb a little further up to the hill near Homberg. Here you take the singletrail to Bollodingen, which is a wonderful end to the tour.
