Monte Ceppo – Terre Rosse | Ride MTB

Monte Ceppo – Terre Rosse

Monte Ceppo (Molini)

Beautiful tour up Monte Ceppo starting with an easy descent, the second part on the Terre-Rosse trail is a little more challenging. The trail, which is not ridden so often, descends very steeply in the diretissima to Molini.

Description

You start in Molini and tackle the 15-kilometre climb on the SP65. At Colle Langan, turn left and continue riding up to the Monte Ceppo saddle. Here, a path branches off to the right: you can go up the grassy hill of Monte Ceppo or keep right and ride up the path until you reach the ridge. Now ride downhill on the right. Many goats have created many variations here, but always keep to the right of the ridge. Soon you branch off to the right and ride down a cart track until you pass the chapel of San Giovanni di Prati and continue downhill on the wide path. The path becomes a trail and forks. Ride to the right and you will soon reach the SP75.

After the left-hand bend, you will see a small Terre Rosse sign and join the trail. It starts quite steeply straight away. Steep technical sections interspersed with roots and rocks follow through the undergrowth. It's like this the whole time. Keeping a firm grip on the brakes, you briefly cross the SP65 at the bottom and ride the last section of the trail a little faster until you reach the SP65 just before Molini and roll back to the starting point of the tour.
