Ronda Grande Valle Argentina

Ronda Grande Valle Argentina

Very challenging long tour through the north-western part of the Valle Argentina. With long climbs and very long descents, a dream tour if you are fit.

Description

The tour can be shortened by booking a shuttle from Molini with Riviera Bike. You then start just before the Passo di Gorda. From here it is still over 21 kilometers and almost 1600 meters in altitude. Without the shuttle, the SP89 leads from Molini via Triora up to the Passo della Guardia for more than 15 kilometers uphill, then you branch off onto a trail towards Verdeggia, sometimes up and down with crisp counter-climbs. From Verdeggia, the route continues to Realdo, where you should stop off at the Osteria Desgena. The next long climb follows - over 14 kilometers and almost 700 meters in altitude. You have now reached 1730 meters above sea level and turn into the Foresta del Gerbonte trail: a wonderful forest trail with fast passages, some hairpin bends and a few blocked sections, with a difficulty level of S2 to S4. The trail is seven kilometers and 1000 Elevation loss long. In Creppo, you join the SP81 and ride along it to Triora. There is another small trail section, partly rocky and blocked. This is how you reach Molini. Conclusion: What a fantastic tour, now you've earned a beer in one of the bars in Molini!
