Description

The tour begins right at Spiaggia dei Cenci in Arenzano. From the beach, Via di Francia rides steadily uphill on a paved road toward Passo della Gava. At an elevation of about 300 meters above sea level, near the water reservoir and the Punta Goetta viewpoint, the route reaches its highest point. Here, you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of Arenzano and Genoa, stretching all the way to the Portoferraio peninsula on the horizon. At this point, the descent begins on the Sentiero degli Inglesi, which translates to “English Path.” The trail lives up to its name and shows itself at its best. With a difficulty rating of S1, the route is extremely smooth to ride and has only a slight incline. This makes the route ideal for trail beginners and families, as there are no significant technical sections to be expected. Finally, you return to the starting point in Arenzano via the town of Borghetto.
