- Simpler version of the original route: same route as the original route, but from Alp Nüschelet directly down towards Varen
- Reverse direction starting in Crans-Montana: climb up to Cave du Sex and then on the singletrail up to Varneralp. The descent via the fantastic trail from Chäller to Varen, then back to Sierre through the Pfynwald

Riding is much easier than walking ... but it is not easy, all loose stones. More like a stream bed than a trail. No real problem for experienced riders, provided there are no hikers on the trail.
Otherwise, a tour that demands a bit of riding technique and fitness. Not recommended for 08/15 bikers. But those who love a technical challenge will get their money's worth here. TOP!
