Flathalm-Trail
Description
The mountain bike tour starts in Landeck and rides along a little-used mountain road up to Tobadill and on towards Giggl. Shortly before the mountain village, the path branches off to the left and begins an ascent on a gravel road to the Flathalm hut at 1700 meters above sea level. This ascent covers all the main altitude meters of the tour in one go.
The trail entrance is located just below the alpine pasture after crossing the bridge over the Flatbach stream. The trail, known as the "Drei Lalli Weg", offers a great mix of flowing, gently sloping terrain that later becomes steeper and hugs steep forest flanks in alpine style before riding straight across meadows again. This varied trail is mainly in the S2 segment, but also offers occasional, more challenging S3 sections.
The descent rides in this style down to the first houses of Landeck, the starting point of the tour. This descent is rightly praised as one of the best in the Arlberg/Landeck region.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.

Tour ridden on 01.11.2024 nice round with a short place to push up.
Can recommend the tour.

Very nice loop, easy, albeit steep descent in places, but is this the best trail in the region?
