Monte Spina
Description
The starting point of the tour is Nave, just north of Brescia. We start with the ascent, and there's no beating about the bush: It gets down to business right from the start on a steep concrete road. This way you quickly gain altitude and reach the chapel of Sant'Antonio. The ascent continues to be steep and from Cascine Broli it is even on a trail where you initially have to push. However, this trail soon becomes less steep and you can ride uphill (even if individual steps break up the uphill flow from time to time). You climb up the Valle Listrea and reach the Cascine Crocca saddle. For a change, the route now climbs for a short while on a pleasantly ascending asphalt road, where the gravel road soon branches off to the left up to Monte Spina. The inconspicuous mountain peak is the starting point of the great singletrail descent back to Nave.
The descent is initially quite challenging at S3 level below Monte Pesso. You reach a steel cross, keep right and now the descent becomes a top-class flow spectacle. With a difficulty level between S1 and S2, you fly towards the valley floor and only reach wider trail terrain again just before the first houses of Nave - otherwise it's all singletrail at its best!
Tip: If you still have energy and juice in your e-bike battery at the bottom, climb up to Monte Maddalena opposite and ride on singletrails directly into the center of Brescia.
