Sella del Quarone 3
Description
The village of Gussago is the base of the tour and the starting point for the ascent through the southern flank of the Quarone. This initially rides along an asphalt road, then changes to a gravel road just below the former monastery. You force your way up the mountain on this road. In the last left-hand bend before the Cascina Quaroncino, keep straight on and a little later turn right into the great singletrail descent. This initially leads over the southern flanks, but later changes to the eastern ridge after a singletrail traverse, which rides down to the valley floor of Val Trompia. The descent is in the S2 range with individual S3 sections. The return trip to Gussago rides on small roads over the Passo della Forcella (100 vertical meters).
The route is relatively short. It is therefore advisable to combine it with the other two options on the Sella del Quarone.
