Sella del Quarone 1

Selle del Quarone (Gussago, Brescia)

The Sella del Quarone is located near Gussago just north of Brescia: a small, inconspicuous pass 500 meters above the valley floor. However, the pass is the starting point for many great single trails that can be ridden all year round. Variant 1 includes the crisp trail directly back to Gussago.

Description

From the pretty village of Gussago, you roll up the valley a little and then turn right at Caricatore onto the little road that rides via Civine up to Sella del Quarone (760 meters above sea level). The ascent follows an asphalt road except for the last section, the last section rides on a gravel road. At the culmination point, the descent is really tough. The trail starts at the farmhouse a few meters below the Sella del Quarone and has a crisp S3 character. In between, it is more flowy, but then offers another challenging section. This is the direct route down to Gussago. The longer the descent, the smoother it is.

The route is relatively short. It is therefore advisable to combine it with the other two options on the Sella del Quarone.
