Pure Riding Bike Park

Pure Riding Bike Park

The Pure Riding Bike Park is one of the most exceptional downhill areas in Catalonia and is famous for Loic Bruni and Andreu Lacondeguy. However, the park is also great fun if you're not at the top of your game.

Description

The Pure Riding Bike Park actually consists of three routes that all start at the same place. You can only get to this starting point in a former army truck with seats mounted on the loading area - an unusually cool form of shuttling. As the rumpy and steep forest road is very narrow, it is not possible to drive up under your own steam due to the risk of accidents. You therefore need a ticket for the park (36 euros).

The three downhill runs are very different:

  • The Baloo Line is a classic blue run with lots of jumps, all of which you can roll over. It is not difficult unless you have enough speed. It's one of those trails that gets more fun the more you ride it.
  • The trail called "Old School" is a classic downhill trail: challenging, sometimes steep, well-built bends and very large speed jumps in the middle section (which you can also roll over).
  • In 2023, the Propain Trail was added in the form of an enduro trail. The trail is a single trail and has crisp sections and steep steps. It is not speed that is required here, but a clean line choice.

The "Pure Riding Bike Park" is open all year round except in midsummer. Then it is simply too hot in the Catalan hinterland or the park operators use this phase to get the trails in shape. There is a food truck at the parking lot for park visitors.
