The route starts in Marmora, a side valley of the Valle Maira. Climb up to Colle del Preit on an asphalt road to reach the Gardetta plateau with the legendary military road. Follow this uphill and experience the impressive beauty of the region. The seemingly endless climb ends after 25 kilometers at the Colle del Mulo with a crisp final section.

The Colle del Mulo is the starting point of the long descent back to Marmora. In S2/S3 mode, the route winds downhill to Alpe Mulo by the mountain road.
