Cipressa-Runde
Description
Start in San Stefano al Mare and ride along the Ligurian coastal cycle path to the village of Aregai. Here you cycle up to Cipressa (known from the Milan-San Remo road classic). Continue left until the tarred road ends. Turn left onto the gravel road and after less than two kilometers turn left into the trail in a right-hand bend and immediately left again. This trail is rocky and very stony with wide bends and a few rock steps. You return to the forest road of the ascent path and ride up the same path again to the right-hand bend. A technical trail uphill requires some skill. You come to a cart track, keep left until you reach the highest point. A motorcycle trail begins on the right, which you follow over the crest. When you reach the dip, look for the trail entrance in the bushes on the right (see plastic tapes). The search is worthwhile! The trail is fast and steep and will get your adrenaline pumping. Narrow, angled bends alternate with wide, fast turns. A few off-road edges are a must. You come to a road, which you ride in a left-hand direction for about 30 meters. Then the next trail follows on the right. It is similar to its predecessor, only not quite as steep and a little shorter, but it offers plenty of flow. At the bottom, take the road to Lingueglietta on the right. At the edge of the village, turn right and take the road uphill back to Cipressa. Roll down the road for a few hairpin bends and then turn right. A forest road soon begins, which rides to a trail junction at the end. The trail on the left is rocky with tight turns and not very steep descents to the tarred road. Take this left up to the access road and back to Aregai and continue along the coastal cycle path back to San Stefano al Mare.
