Monte Faudo
Description
The tour starts above San Lornezo al Mare in Civezza. The area here is characterized by rather gentle hills and it is not very steep uphill on the tarred road. Eventually you reach a parking lot near a chapel. This is where the forest road up to Monte Faudo begins. After about 3.5 kilometers, turn right onto the Sasslong Trail, a very beautiful and flowy trail that is a lot of fun. You finally reach a cart track that rides back to the forest road. At the hairpin bend, the trail climbs uphill again until you reach the "Faudo Crest" trail at the next bend. The rocky trail is not very steep and you can take it easy here. You pass the small chapel again and then return to the main road towards Civezza. From here, the trail branches off the main road again and again and rides back onto it. Then turn right onto the Bourche trail, which is a little steeper but also very flowy and fast. At the end, you come to a tarred road that leads to Torazza. Ride through the small village and back onto the main road to Civezza. The difficulty level of the tour is S2. In the rain, the rock slabs are very slippery and the ground is very clayey, then S3.

This a fun loop that links various trails in the Monte Faudo trail network. The trails are looked after by Omnia Freeride and are generally well-maintained. The Sasslong trail had a light covering of leaves in some areas but it didn‘t cause a problem. Some of the lower linking trail sections were a bit overgrown with thorn bushes making it tricky to pass. The harder trail sections had some big drops but most of these are rollable with good line choice. Overall a good tour that I‘d recommend and look forward to riding again.
