Monte Faudo

Very long tour to the foot of Monte Faudo with spectacular views and beautiful nature trails. After the long tour, you can relax by the sea in the bay of Aregai.

Description

Start in San Stefano al Mare and ride past the Sanitario Madonna di Lampedusa via Terzorio and Castelaro. The cart path 707 soon begins here, which you now follow steadily uphill. At the hill, turn left and continue riding on the 707 until you reach the foot of the Monte Faudo summit, where you can decide whether to tackle the 150 meters of altitude difference to the summit on the left or take the Cresta del Faudo meadow trail on the right. This is fast and not too difficult and rides to Passo Bastia. The Partigiano Cion Trail branches off from here. Follow this until you reach a few steep, exposed sections. Finally, turn left onto the La Ribelle Trail. This is now much more flowy and meets a tarred road at the end that rides to St. Brigida. Now continue downhill on the SP79 until the trail "The Crow" branches off to the right, which leads into the Boazzo Trail after about one kilometer. After a few steep steps, you come out onto a forest road and ride along it until you reach the SP44 below Civezza. Roll down this road to San Lorenzo al Mare, where you ride along the coastal cycle path to Aregai. Here you will find a beautiful bay and a small bistro where you can relax after the long tour. Then it's back to San Stefano al Mare.

Background to Ride MTB
