Ederplan
Description
The start is in Dölsach. From here, a forest road with medium to moderate gradients rides steadily uphill towards Anna-Schutzhaus. Impressive views of the Lienz Dolomites open up halfway up, giving the ascent a special charm. The last few meters to the Anna-Schutzhaus are very steep and usually have to be tackled by pushing. If the house is open, it is worth stopping here for a short break before pushing on to the summit of the Ederplan. Once you reach the summit cross, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the region's most striking peaks.
The descent starts directly below the summit. An exciting mix of roots, gravel and forest floor runs at a constant gradient - technically mostly at S2 level, with occasional S3 sections - past the Anna-Schutzhaus and down to the Zwischenberger Sattel. This section is excellently routed and impresses with a flowing, natural riding experience.
From the saddle, the descent initially becomes a little easier before you reach a more difficult section at the Erdpyramiden. There are short technical passages to master here before you return to the original uphill section. After crossing the Gödnacherbach stream, there is a short intermediate ascent before you take the last trail cut-offs back to Dölsach - a harmonious end to this varied tour.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
