Glattalp
Description
From Hinterthal, ride the first few meters of altitude on the steep road towards the Pragelpass. Just before Mittenwald, at an altitude of 1,375 meters above sea level, you turn off onto an alpine road and follow it to Torstöckli. A difficult trail leads through the Torloch into the Rätschental valley and onwards with a pushing passage past the Geitenberg through the impressive karst area at Alp Robutzli. Continue through the Charetal plateau to Milchbätz and finally into the Glattalp valley via a short pushing section. Here you will find the SAC hut Glattalp - a good place to stop for refreshments. A very difficult trail takes you from the hut down into the Milchbüelen valley basin and from there up over the Bisistal valley via Feldmoos to Schwarzenbach. Finally, follow the little road back to Muotathal.
Route: Hinterthal - Pragel-Passstrasse - Ober Gschwänd - Tor - Hindersten Hütten - Charetalp - Milchblätz - Glattalphütte - Milchbüelen - Feldmoos - Bergen - Hinterthal

If you prefer to carry your bike rather than ride it, this is the tour for you.
The comment from "Tomegli" can be adopted 1:1.
I did the tour with great anticipation in perfect weather conditions in July 2016. So much in advance, the tour is one of my flop 3 tours.
The start is ok, the first 1,000 vertical meters up to just before the gate can be done comfortably on paved roads and forest paths. From there it's off to Glattalp with countless and sometimes very long carrying and pushing passages. Rarely can you sit in the saddle for more than a few minutes (which has less to do with my technique and more to do with the trail). The karst mountains are nice to look at, but not suitable for biking. The trail is very bumpy, there are countless holes and the whole thing is overgrown with grass (so not really pleasant for pushing). The climbs after the Hindersten huts are also mostly unrideable as they are too steep and the bike usually has to be carried. The descent from Glattalp is challenging due to the gravel, but doable.
Conclusion: If you like to ride your bike, you might enjoy this tour. If, like me, you do bike tours mainly for biking, you should switch to the equally beautiful and much more fun Chienzig Tour in Muotathal. Just because you can (somehow) do the Glattalp Tour by bike doesn't make it a bike tour, so this tour would probably be better placed on a hiking page.
