Trebisca - Mystic Trails Moscenice

The loop along the Kvarna Bay via the small village of Trebišća is characterized by historical background and mythology, as well as an almost five-kilometre-long trail descent back to the picturesque village of Moščenička Draga.

Description

The route starts in Moščenička Draga above the campsite. The ascent to Potoki is steep, but on concrete and asphalt. Once you reach the small village of Potoki, you are completely immersed in another world. Far away from any tourism and civilization, there are only a few metres in altitude, but it feels like an eternity away. From Potoki, the route continues in the same manner before you pedal along the Moščenička Draga river and finally arrive in Trebišća. Trebišća was a mystical and magical place in the past centuries. Partly very shady and cold in the winter months, agriculture and strong faith were practiced here. The small village has been lovingly restored and repaired. There are also a few information boards to inform you about the past. The route continues along a path that couldn't be better for mountain bikers. A former mule or connecting trail rides directly to Mosčenice. Perfectly laid out at difficulty level S1, only S2 in places, it goes along the mountain ridge in flow mode deluxe for half an eternity. Shortly before arriving in Mosčenice, you roll a few meters on asphalt but with a fantastic view of the sea before the step finale arrives. It feels like 10,000 steps on the way back to Moščenička Draga. Caution: When crossing the road, as the main route rides along here in Kvarna Bay, be sure to stop your bike here and watch out for traffic. In Moščenička Draga, you have enough time in the off-season (outside of July and August) to enjoy the sea and literally soak up the turquoise-blue bays and the panorama. There are also gastronomic highlights.
