Sant Grau

Sant Grau (Girona)

Sant Grau is a range of hills not far from Girona and includes a lot of trails in a small area. This route offers a good opportunity for a first impression of the region on an arrival day, for example.

Description

The starting point of Sant Gregori is easy to reach by bike from Girona. On the tour, you start by warming up on a small road, then climb up a gravel road to the ridge and along this to an inconspicuous summit. This is the start of the fantastic 300-metre descent towards Sant Gregori. The trail goes by the name of Kill Bill and has a strong character with some tricky sections, especially in the middle section.

At the end of the trail, you then tackle the second ascent of the day up to just below the Sant Grau hermitage. This is the start of the Hardline Trail. This starts off quite steeply, then becomes more technically demanding, only to pick up the flow again in the lower section. The Hardline Trail ends just a short distance from the starting point.

Ridden on 29.10.2025: The first Kill Bill trail is somewhat overgrown in places. There are also sections with deep gullies from heavy rainfall.
