Rocacorba Classic
Description
The route starts in Canet d'Adri, a little northwest of Girona. The route starts on an asphalt road, but soon branches off to the left and struggles up a steep road. The gravel road is concreted in places. This adds up to 400 meters in altitude until you branch off to the right onto a trail. This is the feeder trail to the actual downhill trail. This winds its way through the forest, generally flowing and fun, but sometimes tricky between boulders. The further you ride down, the faster the trail becomes. The descent ends at a gravel road, on which you now climb 130 meters up to Collet del Cal Negre.
At the Collet del Cal Negre you will find descent number two - a real flow bomb! The trail runs through the forest without any major obstacles, and there are also a few meters of climbing in the middle section. Not far from Banyoles, you reach the northern foot of the Rocacorba and the next ascent. This now leads back to the Rocacorba, all the way to the summit with the transmitting antennas. The ascent initially rides along wide gravel roads, occasionally slightly downhill, but the last section then follows the asphalt road all the way to the top. The summit offers a great view of the Girona region and across to the Costa Brava on the Mediterranean.
The final descent rides along the southern flank of the Rocacorba and starts at the church with the famous rocky outcrop. The trail winds its way through a varied S2 level to the Foleia group of houses. 60 meters of altitude difference have to be overcome again before jetting down a trail to the starting point in Canet d'Adri.

We rode the tour today; challenging but very rewarding!
The first descent is narrow and technical at the start. If you can shift the rear wheel, you'll have a lot more fun here. But it's also possible without. On the second descent, there was a chain stretched across the path about 100 meters before the end of the descent and a sign prohibiting access due to construction work. It may still be possible to ride, but we decided to climb directly back up to Rocacorba from there.
I would definitely do the tour again.
