Scerscen
Description
The mountain bike tour starts at the valley station of the Alpe Palü chairlift and initially rides uphill on a gravel road to Alpe Entova. The continuous ascent on the well-maintained gravel road, which becomes somewhat rougher as it progresses, offers an exciting challenge. The route eventually leads through impressive rocky sections and is a reminder that private vehicles once rode here towards the summer ski area. Today it is hard to imagine that private cars once drove up here towards the summer ski area. The road ends at Lago del Tricheco and a high alpine single trail rides up to the former Rifugio Scerscen. Here it is advisable to leave the bike at the lake and walk the last stretch to enjoy the impressive scenery on the southern flanks of the Bernina group.
The descent begins with a return to the bike on foot. You then follow the ascent route before turning onto a path that rides directly to Alpe Entova. The path is not a groomed flow trail but rather a bumpy contemporary. The alternative would be to tackle the entire section to the alp on the gravel road of the ascent. After the alp, turn right onto a smoother trail that rides up to the first houses above Prati Pedrana. The trail finally ends just a few meters above the starting point.

I rode the tour on 05.08.25. As in the description up to the lake by bike then the rest on foot. Finding the way up and later down again is exciting as there are hardly any markings. I then descended the upper part via the gravel road and later joined the 2nd part. The first part was too difficult for me, later it went better. My conclusion: a mega great, cool tour. I would do it again only the way down as up without the trail descent.
