Rifugio Bosio – Musci-Trail
Description
The first part of the tour consists of the entire 1100-metre ascent from Chiesa up to the Rifugio. This involves climbing steadily up the mountain, first on asphalt and then on gravel. At Alpe Airale, you take a right-hand serpentine straight ahead on a flat trail over to Rifugio Bosio-Galli. This is the highest point of the tour, a good opportunity for a break. But then it's back into the saddle and onto the downhill trail. The descent is super flowy, sometimes fast, sometimes more challenging, sometimes rough, sometimes smooth as silk. It also includes a counter-climb. This is how you reach the Alpe Piasci with a fantastic view of the entire valley and the Bernina chain in the background. Now the downhill style changes: it becomes steep and challenging. The Musci trail winds through the forest, steep with tight hairpin bends and the occasional crisp section. Good riders will have a lot of fun here. The trail ends in the village of Bianchi just below Musci. From here you cycle a few more meters on the asphalt road to Torre. Take the cycle path along the river back to the starting point.

Beautiful valley. You always have great views on the tour!
Brilliant trail up to Alpe Piasci.
Then a great trail through the forest. No need to open the brakes here! If you like it steep and tight bends, you'll have fun here.
This tour is definitely recommended.
The trail after the Rifugio Bosio-Galli (a lovely alp with beautiful meadows and a stream) is really very nice and varied. The Musci trail rides through the forest most of the time & is also cool with the not too narrow switchbacks. Great tour & beautiful valley, this Valmalenco.
