Boirolo-Trail (Sondrio)

The descent from Boirolo to Sondrio in Valtellina is a super-fun singletrail descent in Valtellina that is often ridden as a shuttle tour.

Description

Good starting points for the tour are Sondrio or Chiuro. From here, you climb under your own steam or with a bike shuttle on the asphalt road to the alpine settlement of Boirolo, which towers 1200 meters above the Valtellina valley floor. The descent begins immediately below the parking lot in a flowing manner. Flowing in S1 to S2 mode is the predicate for the entire singletrail descent, which occasionally also has an S3 section. All in all, it's a great descent that takes you past the derelict hotel near Prasomaso and winds its way down through the dense forest to Tresivio. Here you pass the Via Panoramica and tackle the final section down to the valley floor. Cycle back to Sondrio along the Adda River on cycle paths.

I actually think it's a beautiful descent. But it is not ridden enough and even in the fall it is heavily overgrown with nettles and brambles.
I won't do it again. I think it should be taken off the database because it's really hardly rideable anymore.
