Piazza-Trail
Description
The Piazza Trail is one of the classic single trails on upper Lake Como and rides from the alpine settlement of La Piazza down to Dubino. This village is the start and finish of the tour and can be easily reached from Colico on the cycle path along the River Adda. The ascent rides entirely along asphalt roads to La Piazza. A detour to the forest clearing with the houses is worthwhile for the view. The downhill trail starts at the parking lot at the edge of the forest and then winds its way through the dense forest. Local mountain bikers have lent a hand here and given the trail a good flow. Eventually you pass the ascent road, reach a clearing in the forest and continue unabated along the trail, which is good and fun to ride and also contains some tricky sections. The trail leads to the first houses in Dubino.

The trailhead at the side road leading to Piazza is marked with a sign that reads “Braccobaldo Trail.” The trail is in good condition and flows smoothly, except for a few technical sections. If you’re coming from Lake Como, you can also head straight down to Careciasca at the end.
Cool trail, sometimes technical, sometimes flowy. However, the top section is currently not maintained. According to the locals, in addition to the asphalt ascent, there is another alternative on gravel, which is nicer and a little steeper.
Rode the trail today: Pleasant ascent, often in the forest - which is very welcome at 30 degrees.
Trail in good condition: sometimes flowy, sometimes rougher, but all passages rideable (s2-s3, a few sections more difficult). Definitely worth it.
Beautiful trail in good condition. Should only be ridden in dry conditions, as the forest floor is soft. Difficulty S2 with various S3 sections.
Quite sunny and therefore also a good choice in winter.
The trail is in very poor condition. Several trees are lying across it and the water has formed deep gullies in many places. At the moment at least, it has little in common with flow.
The trail has therefore been cleared. Highly recommended!
very cool flow trail ! except for a few tricky spots rather easy but nice to ride. top!
We rode the Piazza Trail in mid-April and found a well-maintained trail. We even met a volunteer from the trail crew who removed the last remaining leaves and branches. The adapted trail is very flowy, but has short technical passages and a few small built-in jumps from time to time.
