Valfabiolo
Description
The starting point of the tour is Sitra, not far from the village of Ardenno. The tour initially follows the River Adda uphill to the neighboring village of Selvetta, where the ascent up to Ronca begins. This rides over countless hairpin bends but with a pleasant gradient through the steep terrain. In Ronca, the fun is over and the bike has to be pushed and carried for around 100 meters. The inconspicuous crossing is the starting point of the crisp descent down into Valfabiolo. It is steep and interspersed with lots of hairpin bends. In some of the bends, a good rear wheel offset technique is required. The descent is a highlight for good riders. Finally, you reach the valley floor and the legendary mule track down to Sitra. This path is much easier, easy to ride and only tricky in a few places. It leads through the middle of the wild gorge, is impressive in places and takes you to the center of Sitra. Conclusion: an unexpected and inconspicuous highlight for mountain bikers.
Note: If you don't want to tackle the challenging descent trail down into Valfabiolo, take the road to Somvalle for the ascent and start the descent through Valfabiolo from here.

I rode the tour last year on 11.09.2021. Start of the descent through Valfabiolo but from Somvalle. The trail is really nicely laid out and runs over the small stone bridges again and again. The trail is a bit bumpy, but still easy to ride (only a few technical sections). Also a worthwhile tour in terms of scenery.
