The ascent is quickly explained: 1550 vertical meters have to be mastered in one go, half of it on asphalt, the other half on a well-maintained gravel road. This is how you reach the Baita di Pessa, a remote alpine farm at 1850 meters above sea level.

The descent begins with a somewhat gnarly single trail across the meadow terrain. As soon as the trail turns into the forest, it becomes flowy and fun.
