Spieleckkogel
Description
The steep forest road ascent to the Spieleckkogel begins behind the Forellenhof farm at the end of Hinterglemm. If you want to take it easier, take the Reiterkogelbahn and ride from here towards Hochalm. The description and the GPX track refer to the whole tour. We ride along the forest road in the direction of the Reiterkogelbahn. Once you reach the top of the Reiterkogelbahn, you can stop off at the Wieseralm and enjoy a Kaiserschmarrn, as there are still a few tough meters of altitude ahead of you. After refreshments, cycle on towards the Hochalmbahn. Cycle past it until the forest road ends shortly after the Spieleckbahn. Now the path leading to the Spieleckkogel begins on the right. Continue riding for a while until you soon have to push. Along the ridge you get closer and closer to the summit of the Spieleckkogel. You have to shoulder your bike for the last stretch to reach the summit. The view here is fantastic.
After the summit break, the trail starts to flow and soon the first steep sections appear and it becomes increasingly technical. The descent is challenging until you reach the gravel road, cross it and turn into the trail to the Eiböckalm. Continue briefly on the forest road until the last trail section follows and ends in Lengau. Cycle back to Hinterglemm on the main road.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.

Rode the e-bike today - great views, crisp trail down, some very rough and rooty passages.
