Jeizinen-Trails
Description
There are four different descent options from the small village of Jeizinen. The first is the classic one and leads directly down to Gampel. To do this, follow the old road out of the village for a while, then turn right at about the height of the cable car rope onto the sometimes steep and challenging single trail. The last few meters of the descent then take you back onto the old road that leads past the chapel.
The second option initially follows the first version. At a forest clearing with a derelict alp, however, keep right onto the trail to Bratsch. Instead of riding into the village, turn sharp left before a bridge and take the trail towards Gampel, which is somewhat exposed in places. The last section at the chapel is identical to the first option.
The third descent option initially leads along the road towards Engersch. After the first houses, turn left onto a fun trail to Bratsch, pass the church and then follow the trail down directly to Niedergampel.
Version four is the longest route. At the start, it follows the road to Engersch, where the trail branches off to the left in the village to Erschmatt. You pass the village and always stay on the marked hiking trail, which crosses the main road twice further down. The trail now turns left towards Niedergampel and leads through a steep and extremely dry area down to the sewage treatment plant. You now roll back to Gampel on the country road.

On the last day of the vacation, we spent half a day in Jeizinen. Too many trails in the forest, so we quickly left the trails marked here - but all trails lead downhill. Directly below the gondola there are steep downhill trails through the middle of the forest (S4), the further away from the gondola the smoother. There are two official bike routes (117 and 118), very flowy with a few S3 sections and always great views. Very worthwhile!
The gondola officially rides once an hour, but we kept getting extra rides because the gondola fills up quickly with a few bikes.
Beautiful trails overall, although not all of them are consistently convincing. Those who can/will only ride once get a best of with access to trail option three to Bratsch, and can then switch to the lower part of version two.
24.08.2022/ The trails are beautiful, but I would incorporate them into a tour. Only go to Valais for these trails. There are more beautiful things. But very worthwhile integrated into a tour. Very friendly staff at the valley station. Sometimes very steep slope on the side.
Was disappointed by the trail (but only had one as a gpx), very monotonous and not technical on a wide hiking trail into the valley....I guess I got the wrong one, reading the comments here...
I added something above to the oberi Fäsilalp, then over to Niwenalp, which was a cool trail, the rest then solala.
Incredibly friendly gentleman at the valley station, asked me if I knew my way around and then gave you some tips - wow!
The information is wrong.
The description says 30 km, but the profile map is 6 km
Is now corrected!

The perfect place to start the season. It was almost snow-free in January and the people at the valley station are super friendly. It's so worth a trip there.

We were in Gampel on 22.2.20. The trails are very nice. The staff at the valley station too. Bikers are very welcome there. The trails can be ridden practically all year round. You can get an insight here:
