Endurotour Isallo Extasy
Description
You can either take a bike shuttle up to the Melogno Pass or start in Finalborgo and ride up the long tarred climb. Once you arrive in Melogno, you can either enjoy a cappuccino at the Osteria del Din and then ride on along the SP 490 to Colle di Melogno. Here you turn onto the forest road up to Fort Merizzo, where the Isallo Extasy Trail begins. This is a fast, partly flowing, partly blocked descent to Isallo. After just under four kilometers, you come to a small forest road that branches off to the right shortly afterwards onto the Revenant Trail. The Revenant lives up to its name. As in the movie "The Revenant" with Leonardo di Caprio, you will reach your limits here, depending on how quickly you tackle the trail. Steep rollercoaster passages alternate with fast natural bends. It goes up and down like a rollercoaster until you reach a forest road, which you roll down to Isallo.
Now it's time to start cranking again, heading towards Magliolo, a long ascent until you come back to the SP 490. Follow this for a short distance and then turn onto the road up to Madonna della Guardia. Ride around the chapel on the right and you will have a great view of the coast and Finale Ligure. Now take the Caciatore trail. The Caciatore is an EWS stage where you can test your racing genes. The descent to Calice Ligure is quite blocked and steep, and just before the end there is a daring passage with a tricky rock step. The upper part of the tour has a difficulty of S2 to S3, the Caciatore is in the S3 range throughout. Once you arrive in Calice Ligure, you head back to Finalborgo and can discuss the suspension set-up over a beer.

A really great tour—the paved approach can be pretty exhausting in the heat, but the trails are amazing. I highly recommend this tour!
Isallo Extasy is closed until further notice. However, Fast and Furious (start 100 m south of Isallo) is open and can be ridden instead of Isallo Extasy.
