Monte Gaviola
Description
The tour begins in Case Silizzi on the Strada Statale del Passo Gavia and winds its way up the southern ramp of the Gavia Pass for around 1000 meters in altitude through an indescribable mountain world on asphalt up to Lago Bianco. From Lago Bianco, keep right and ride for a relatively long time along the military road from the First World War up to an altitude of around 2750 meters above sea level. From here, you can only reach the summit by pushing or carrying the bike, although a short section is relatively narrow and secured with holding ropes. The summit is a real highlight and, with good visibility, allows your gaze to wander into infinity. You could linger here for hours and probably still not have discovered everything.
Thanks to the good alignment of the trail, the mountain offers a real highlight on the descent, especially in the afternoon and evening sun. 80 percent of the route runs along an old military road with a difficulty of S2 to S3 back to Lago Bianco. From Lago Bianco, the route leads to the Rifugio Passo di Gavia and from here continues along the trail cutters to Lago Nero. Here, however, you can expect some sections with a difficulty of S3. From Lago Nero, the trail is a real firework on a difficulty of S2 to S3. It leads back to the starting point and puts a permanent grin on your face. Once you reach the bottom of the valley, the tour may be over for the day, but it will probably stay in your head forever.

Uphill a bit annoying because of the humming of the many motorcycles. But with a great view. At the top, the view is also great and the first hundred Elevation loss are also exciting. Then it's a wide cart track. From the hut/pass road, it's a relatively trialy ride. The trail from the lake parallel to the pass road is then again wonderful for more technically experienced riders and a real firework.
