Cima Belvedere
Description
The route starts directly at the Passo di Gavia at 2621 meters above sea level. From here, you initially wind your way along the Alta Via Camuna towards Corno dei Tre Signori (Three Lords' Peak). As with almost all paths on the Gavia Pass, the most adverse conditions imaginable prevailed here during the First World War. An infrastructure was built here with the last bit of strength, from which bikers and mountain enthusiasts still benefit today. The uphill trail is in perfect condition. E-mountain bikers can ride 80 percent of the Old Via Comuna up to the summit, as can fit organic bikers. The remaining sections have to be pushed, but are easily manageable. At the summit, the panorama is amazing. The former line of defense provides a huge cone of vision towards Santa Catarina Valfurva and the Ortler, the Cevedale group to the north, as well as the Gavia Pass and the surrounding mountains and Monte Gaviola to the south.
The downhill winds its way back down the entire ascent section. At difficulty level S2, the route leads inexorably back to the Gavia Pass. If this tour is not enough for you, you can combine it with the Monte Gaviola and take the southern descent towards Pezzo before returning to the pass. The refreshment stop at Rifugio Bonetta is a highlight in itself and should not be missed.

Good if you want to get to 3000 by bike cheaply/easily, but the wide cart path is not exactly exciting or challenging.
A perfect tour for us as a refreshment stop and to stretch our legs on the journey from Bormio to Ponte dl Legno! The drive over the Gavia Pass is an experience in itself.
After initially rolling up to Bellavista, we were soon pushing our bikes and enjoying the panoramic view. The summit is reached relatively quickly. It's nice if you can take your time up there, because somehow you can't get enough of the view. The Gavia Pass far below and nothing but mountains all around.... A different world!
The descent requires some skill with the rocks and can be ridden partly on the edge on large slabs, it never winds too steeply back to the starting point. Short fun detour
