Pizzini Ables

From the Rifugio Pizzini you actually start to the Passo Zebrù, but the Ables high trail back to Santa Caterina offers no less singletrail riding fun.

Description

From Santa Caterina, take the little road up through the Val dei Forni to the Rifugio Pizzini. There are almost 1000 meters of altitude to overcome. Now follow the high-level trail with the number 528, which leads far above the ascent road back out into the valley. This is followed by one or two short ascents to the Rifugio Ables. Many mountain bikers ride directly back to Santa Caterina from here; this variant takes you a little further along the trail until the 548 trail branches off to the left. This combination of countless hairpin bends is crisp and should only be ridden by experienced mountain bikers. At Procel, turn left and return to Santa Caterina.
