Forcella di Montozzo
Description
The tour starts in Pezzo. You wind your way up the Valle di Viso to the Rifugio Bozzi at an altitude of 2478 meters above sea level. However, the last hairpin bends take some effort, as does the ascent to the Forcella di Montozzo. Once you reach the pass, you have a tremendous view towards Peio and Pezzo and can already see the next tours that await you. First, however, you return to the Rifugio Bozzi on trail level S1 to S2. Shortly afterwards, take the Alta Via Camuna trail and wind your way along to the ridge below the Cima Bleis. From here, it's a long military road back into the Valle di Pezzo, before you take the trail towards Pezzo, about 100 meters above the valley floor. A real highlight in terms of panoramic views and downhill technique and, in combination with the chosen descent variant, one of the longest trail adventures in the area.

Rode by car from Ponte di Legno to the last hairpin bend of Passo Tonale. There is a parking lot and a beautiful forest road that climbs gently connects us to the trail. However, we don't ride to Pezzo, which we leave to the left and stay on the right on the forest road, so we get to Case di Viso traffic-free, where there is a lot going on and the huge parking lot is well occupied. It's time to hike!
Looking uphill, it's hard to believe that the path is rideable... but it is and only gets steeper below the hut. The last section to the Forcola is definitely push or carry. Remains of trenches and a memorial plaque are still visible on the Forcola. A seemingly endless trail also leads further out of the valley, unfortunately not for us today, we ride back to the Refugio and turn into the Via Camuna trail until it merges into the high trail. What follows is endless flow ... A first-class experience, fun and flow that is hard to beat and practically for us alone!!!!!
