The loop around the valley plain between Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and Ruoms combines some of the most beautiful trails and views in the region. It rides over the Sigaud and Sampzon and offers great views of the Ardèche river time and again.

You really have to go out of your way to find the panoramic view, but you can head straight up the hill from Sampzon. There are lots of uphill sections on rocky trails (sometimes you get the feeling you’re riding the loop in the wrong direction), and the trails are poorly maintained or not maintained at all. The singletrack section (downcountry) feels like it’s only about 1 percent of the route. Not recommended.
