Latscher Sonnenberg

Latscher Sonnenberg / Annaberger Böden

The classic mountain bike tour from Latsch leads in the direction of St. Martin and downhill via the Monte Sole bike trail.

Description

From Latsch, the route initially leads along the Vinschgau cycle path to Kastelbell, after which you quickly gain altitude on the mountain road to St. Martin. At a forest clearing at 1500 meters above sea level, the descent begins with a challenging trail in the direction of Ratschill. Once you reach a forest road, follow it uphill for a few meters and then turn right onto the Monte Sole trail, which is specially built and marked for mountain bikers. This ends at the Annaberger Böden, whereupon the route leads along the Panoramaweg (trail no. 5) towards Goldrain. The final descent leads via the 6b trail to Goldrain Castle, after which you return to Latsch through apple orchards.

Alternatives: Instead of the challenging trail to Ratschill, follow the marked Monte Sole Trail at the forest clearing. This start is much easier.

Shuttles: Taxi shuttles to St. Martin; Laces - St. Martin gondola lift
