The tour around the Hundsrügg near Zweisimmen is a fantastic tour where even less experienced riders will get their money's worth on single trails.

Description

The tour starts at the top station of the gondola lift on the Rellerligrat, although the 600-metre ascent from Schönried could also be done under your own steam. We recommend enjoying the exclusive view of the Bernese Oberland from this vantage point high above Saanen. The actual tour then starts on the single trail past the Hugeligrat, on to the Chaltläger and finally to the Bire, a small crossing into the Jauntal. The striking rock formations of the Wandfluh can now be seen opposite, while an alpine road leads to Oberenegg. On the west side of the Hundsrügg, the route now leads over a singletrail to Nüjeberg. This section is easy to ride, but also has a few tricky sections and a steep downhill section. You reach Sparenmoos through lovely high moorland and ride downhill via Schwarzesee and Schauenegg towards the main road. About 40 meters above this road, the route continues in the direction of Zweisimmen, but then follows the hiking trail to the banks of the Kleine Simme. Along this you reach Zweisimmen and ride back to Schönried by cable car.
