After the start in Zweisimmen, you follow the Simme down the valley and then climb a total of 650 meters in altitude to the Jaun Pass near Garstatt on largely traffic-free roads. The only restaurant along the route is located here. If you haven't brought any food with you, you can fortify yourself here before climbing another 250 meters in altitude to Oberenegg-Läger. A gravel road with wonderful views of the Gastlosen opposite leads to the Bire, the crossing into Saanenland. And from here, the single trails take center stage. One of these leads over to the Rellerligrat, one of the best panoramic spots in the Gstaad region. A mountain railroad once ran up here. This is no longer in operation, but the trails remain, for example the one down via Gspan to Schönried. Afterwards, the return trip to Zweisimmen is a second highlight. First you follow the cycle route for a while from Saanenmöser and then ride down to the banks of the Kleine Simme at Oeschseite. From here, an excellent, idyllic but at times challenging single trail leads to Zweisimmen - a nice end to an inconspicuous but great mountain bike route.

Ridden on 09.06.2025: we really enjoyed the tour! From the Jaunpass there's a beautiful panorama of the Gastlosen. There were lots of beautiful flower meadows along the way. The singletrail from the Bire is really fun. After the Rellerli it gets steep at first, but then there are some nice trail sections. And the last part along the Simme is simply great fun. All in all, a very good choice of tour. Merci!
Ridden on 28.07.2022: very beautiful tour, top scenery and easy to ride up to Rellerli. From Rellerli to Schönried no problem for experienced bikers, a bit steep at times. A really fun trail along the Simme from the Oesch side to Zweisimmen with 1 or 2 short sections of pushing (stairs). Conclusion: highly recommended in good weather. Also possible with an e-bike.
