Oberlaubhorn
Description
The leisurely start from Lenk in the direction of Oberried quickly comes to an end as soon as you reach the first ascent. The alpine road becomes increasingly steeper until you are finally struggling for breath in the lowest gear. The Simmen Falls are just right for a first break. Here, the young Simme plunges down through a rocky crag over several cascades into the valley, a spectacle well worth seeing. The ascent remains mercilessly steep up to Rezliberg, after which the little road rides somewhat more moderately to Langermatte, the lovely transition into the Iffig valley. The descent rides along the alpine road to the Iffigbach stream, then continues downhill on the hiking trail. The Iffig Falls, with a drop of over 100 meters, are in the immediate vicinity. This is even more impressive than the Simmen Falls on the ascent. A detour here is also a must. The return journey to Lenk can be made either via the country road to the left of the stream or on the hiking trail on the right-hand side of the stream.
Tips: From Langermatte on foot to the summit of the Oberlaubhorn

Wonderful tour, the gradient is greatly exaggerated: Yes, it's uphill, but it's always easy to ride, the ground is firm and the meters of ascent are manageable overall.
On the descent, I recommend taking the hiking trail (Ritztrail) on the first part further back into the valley instead of pointlessly riding down the alpine road, so that you can then climb further up into the Iffigtrail. And yes, there is a driving ban further down, but with the usual friendly greetings and slowing down, you can easily get past each other. On the middle section, there is even a sign from the tourism association stating that a 3-year trial with bikers and hikers on the same trail is being attempted.
Attention, from Rest. Simmenfälle there is a general driving ban on the Alpstrasse. And as this place was very busy during the vacation season, I respected this and rode a different route.
uphill, the general driving ban is not a problem.
