Trepalle

The Trepalle tour starts in Livigno and circles Monte Crapene. The singletrail descent to Lago Livigno is considered a technical challenge and trail highlight of the region.

Description

The ascent leads from Livigno via a rough and steep gravel road to Passo d'Eira. Alternatively, you can take the Mottolino cable car and hurtle down the flowy freeride slope to the main road of the Passo d'Eira. From there, a gravel road and then a flowing trail runs along the right side of the valley and down to the entrance of the Vallaccia valley. Now there is a short passage to the right up onto the main road before turning left past the next petrol station to the start of the trail to Passo Trela. Do not follow this trail to the top of the pass, but only to the crossroads, where a trail descends sharply to the left. This trail now rides smoothly down to a stream, which you later cross to enjoy another trail through the larch forest after a short ascent. This takes you to Lake Livigno and from there back to Livigno via the cycle path.

We rode the tour today as a detour from a day in the Mottolino Bike Park. Accordingly, we took the gondola up. (We had the day ticket, a single ride is 15 euros). A nice loop, S1-2, so the technical challenge is not that great.

Did this little tour today. Really nice trails and a good alternative to the made trails at the railroads. Not difficult, but beautiful surroundings!
