Passo Trela
Description
From Livigno, you can ride up to the Passo d'Eira on the busy pass road. It's easier and nicer to take the cable car up the Mottolino. After a cappuccino with stunning views, we take the natural road down to the Passo d'Eira, from where a trail leads to Trepalle. Back on the main road, we ride a short stretch on asphalt until the trail to Passo Trela begins on the left after the petrol station. This bike trail was once built by the mayor of Livigno himself. At Campaccio, the new singletrail leads into Val Pila and then up Passo Trela - all a flowing singletrail, an absolute insider tip. After the Rifuggio di Trela, a stony road leads to the lakes of Fraele and then straight back up to Alpisella. This pass shows its steep side on the descent. At the end of the singletrail, head left and steeply down to the stream and find the next, freshly dredged and flowing singletrail in the direction of Livigno. Once you reach the lake, you can let it roll out wonderfully on the ride back to the village.

I completed the tour from the Mottolino mountain station. It is possible to ride the existing downhill trails almost as far as Passo Eiro. Up to Alpe Trela it is a wonderful uphill trail. At km 30.0 the descent to the stream is steep and with tight bends. From km 30.0 -31.0 on trail no. 137 there are a few points to note, but I think it's still worth taking this trail, as the descent from the Passo di Valle Alpisella was more of a loss of altitude meters on a forest road and the section from km 31.0 spiced up the tour.
The path can only be followed without getting your feet wet when the water level of the streams is low. It is necessary to cross the streams without a bridge. In addition, the embankments, including the path on the banks, have been washed away. 1st passage rides in the stream bed over scree and must be done on foot. 2nd passage just before you reach path no. 136 is difficult to manage safely by bike, I chose the easier and safer route on foot across the stream.
I did this tour today as a ebike tour. I would only recommend this tour to ebiker or really fit bio bikers who like to ride uphill on trails. The trail from Val Pila to passo Trela is an uphill trail - fun to ride on a ebike but not my style on a bio bike. The downhill from alpisella is not really a trail - only the last part. All in all I liked the tour but its more a scenic landscape tour than a trail focused tour.
