Vilan-Umrundung
Description
The first part of the tour is characterized by the long gravel road climb from Jenins up to the Jeninser Alp. Over 1,500 meters of elevation gain are covered in one go – quite an achievement! The climb can be a bit monotonous at times, but the wonderful view of the Chur Rhine Valley rewards you for your efforts time and again.
The Jeninser Alp is located on a plateau on the northern flank of the Vilan summit. For us, this region marks the start of the descent. To do this, however, you have to reach the eastern side of the mountain. You roll downhill for a while on a bumpy gravel road until a trail branches off to the right. This trail climbs another 60 meters in altitude, but it's a tough one! Even those riding an e-mountain bike will have to resort to the push assist here at times. Finally, you reach the ridge and head into the downhill trail through the alpine roses. The trail winds its way through the steep terrain and later becomes a rapid high trail to Sadreinegg. There is still a short stretch of gravel road to cover, then you turn right onto the next trail. In this varied mix of short gravel road sections and fast, fun trails, you ride down to Seewis. Just below the church, the trail descent continues, leading smoothly, quickly, and enjoyably to Grüsch. From here, you can roll back to Landquart along the country road. Options If you want, you can take your bike up from Jeninser Alp to the Vilan summit and then ride down the S4 trail to Sadrainegg.>In Seewis, instead of taking the trail down to Grüsch, you can ride along the Fadärastein to Malans instead of riding the trail down to Grüsch.

Riding over the Fadärastein to Malans is highly recommended. Cool trail to the village.
