Flumserberg Longruns

Flumserberg

From Flumserberg there are two excellent, very long singletrail descents down to the valley floor. One to Lake Walen and one to Flums. A great and challenging trail combination!

Description

The ideal starting point for this downhill tour is Flums train station. From there, take the Postbus up to Tannenheim, then change to the gondola lift and take the chairlift via Prodalp to the Prodkamm. Here you should take time to enjoy the spectacular panorama of the Churfirsten and Lake Walen. The first descent then begins with 1500 meters of depth. This leads downhill via the Redfox Trail, followed by the Redrock Trail, until you finally reach the village of Tannenboden. The previous paths are well-built and varied bike trails, but now the terrain changes. The descent to Unterterzen is a real challenge with rooty and rocky S3 passages, steep, agile and demanding. In wet conditions, the difficulty level even rises to S4, which will put a big grin on the faces of experienced mountain bikers in particular.

Then take the gondola lift back to Tannenboden and the Blue Bunny Trail as a transfer section down to Tannheim. The gondola and chairlift take you back up to the Prodkamm ridge as at the start of the tour. The second long run descent is on the agenda, this time to Flums - another 1500 vertical meters in one go. The start is again via the Redfox trail. Instead of turning left as before, you now follow the trail downhill and reach the Prodalp. Continue along the Bluesalamander Trail to Tannenheim before leaving the mountain railroad perimeter. For the route to Flums, "nature trails" now come to the fore. Varied and fun, they lead in S2 mode with individual S3 sections via Portels to the first houses in Flums.

Conclusion: A first-class trail tour that offers a combination of well-built single trails in the mountain railroad perimeter and crisp and varied "nature trails" in the lower segment.

Nice! An ideal combination of the Flumserberge trail. You can also easily cycle back from Flums to Oberterzen, it's straight ahead and the lake invites you to swim.

Beautiful tour, the bike park trails are quite easy, the great natural trail from Tannenboden to Unterterzen adds the right spice.
