Chimmispitz
Description
Cross the Rhine at Landquart, follow the country road to Bad Ragaz for a few meters and turn left at the power station onto the mountain road to Pfäfers. You then head into the Tamina valley and turn left just before Vadura onto the road to Bläs. Now begins the crisp gravel ascent to the Ragolerberg and over the ridge to the summit of the Chimmispitz. The view of the Rhine valley from here is simply stunning. The Chimmispitz is now the starting point of the singletrail descent to Mastrils. Zigzag through the forest to Fürggli and from here continue on the singletrail down into the Rhine Valley. Just above Mastrils, you reach a mountain road, where you take a sharp right and head towards Mastrils via the hamlet of Prafieb.

We rode the tour yesterday. Super flowy and beautiful. The climb is really tough towards the end. The cows do a lot of hard work here. The ramp to Blas is currently closed due to woodwork. On Sundays, however, you could get through. If you don't want to go through the private road (Fürggli), you can simply follow the gravel path 150m earlier in the parking lot and then keep left. There is no detour.
Great tour with a super descent! Ascent via Bläs too steep, not recommended. Better: Start Bad Ragaz - Alte Valenserstrasse - St.Margrethenberg - Fürggli... unfortunately no more pubs on Alp Maton, water available.
Rode it today. A very strenuous climb, but the mega view and the cool trail make up for it. By the way, the mountain is called Chemispitz
Rode the tour on September 09, 23. Conclusion: Great descent, provided you are at least a good biker. Steep ascent. In the last fifth pushing passages due to cow paths. Leave the bike at the stable below the summit and walk up. Tour is absolutely doable with an e-bike, provided you are not a Sunday biker.
Tour ridden on 29.5.2023. The ascent is already very steep and strenuous. The descent is simply superb. Be sure to ignore the "private road" sign at Fürggli, otherwise you will miss the best part of this tour. As the cows were not yet on the alp and the weather was very dry, you could ride a large part of the uppermost section of the ascent without any problems. If you leave out the summit climb, I think you could easily ride it on an e-bike. Super spring tour!
I cycled the tour today, next time I would ride the bus towards Vadura and get off at the bus stop
Bläs bus stop. There are some bumpy sections and the surface is very damaged by the cows.
The descent is awesome! It's worth riding the climb.
Poah, that was a tough 1300m. The last part is actually unrideable, but this time it's not the bikers' fault, but the cows. Nice trail to ride down, then branches off into the descent of the Pizalun Tour. We were annoyed by the approach from Mastrils to Landquart, where there is still no trail but you have to take the road. We liked the tour!
At the moment there are still some tricky passages on the descent (snow) - caution is advised.
Really nice trail, very flowy! But the climb is a tough one, the last 200m is more of a carry, erosion from the cows. Not suitable for eBikes!
We did the tour today in beautiful autumn weather, although we turned left earlier and rode via St. Margrethenberg along the road up to the Chimmispitz. This climb is on the road but less steep. The descent was super, dry and with the colorful autumn trees and the sun simply fantastic. A little caution is required in the upper part, as the trail is quite exposed, but can be done with a little skill and a head for heights.
