Bodenschneid
Description
At the far end of Lake Tegernsee lies the village of Rottach-Egern, where the tour starts at the Wallbergbahn valley station. You ride in a westerly direction along a small hiking trail to Enterrottach. Here you can either take the Sutten toll road or the forest road to the left of the Suttenstraße, which has some quite steep ramps. The route climbs steadily until you turn right at the Hufnagelstube parking lot in the direction of Lukas Alm. Past this, a small hiking trail leads up very steeply to the left. Many people push their bikes here. At the lower Suttenalm, continue up the wide forest road on the left, but now not quite as steep. After a few hairpin bends, a trail finally leads to the Bodenalm. Here you can decide whether to shoulder your bike and carry it up to the summit of the Bodenschneid or take the downhill trail from here. This is a very flowy, less demanding downhill trail with difficulty level S2 until you reach the Suttenstrasse again and ride downhill and then take the approach route again from Enterrottach.
