The beautifully situated Kesselalm at the foot of the Breitenstein is ideal for a relaxed after-work tour with a trail that is not quite so relaxed and has some quite rough sections, adding to the spice of the tour.

Description

The tour begins in Fischbachau on the Birkensteinstrasse. Soon follow the signposts to the Kesselalm on the left. The forest road climbs steeply and winds its way up in serpentines until you reach the Kesselalm after around four kilometers. This is a great place to relax after a stressful day at work and look forward to the trail. It is also possible to extend the tour and ride around the Breitenstein (see tour "Breitenstein Runde"). The trail back to Fischbachau is very rooty and bumpy and becomes a challenge in wet conditions.
