Staubfall Ruhpolding

From the Chiemgau Arena biathlon center near Ruholding, the tour rides up to the Staubfall. After a 20-minute carrying passage, you pass under the waterfall and ride back down the trail on the other side into Heutal and over the Winklmoosalm.

Description

At the Chiemgau Arena just south of Ruhpolding, you ride to the right bank upstream of the Fischbach stream. The forest road becomes a trail after a few kilometers, you cross the Fischbach and soon push your bike up to the Staubfall. You have to go under the waterfall, it is very spectacular, especially when the river is carrying a lot of water. On the bike, the trail then descends steeply into the Heutal valley. From here, take the road on the right to the Winklmoosalm. Once there, you can either stop for a bite to eat or take the trail slightly below towards Seegatterl. At the end of the trail, take the forest road for a short distance and then rejoin the hiking trail towards Seegatterl. From here, take the forest road back to the Chiemgau Arena. The trails are of difficulty level S2 with a few S3 passages.

Background to Ride MTB

Ride MTB is dedicated to mountain biking. With the maps Ride Trail Maps and Trail Books and the print magazine Ride, it has played a formative role in alpine mountain biking for many years and has shaped it like few other organizations.
