Rund um den Hochgern
Description
From Marquarstein, the climb up to the Schnappenkirche church is quite steep. Once at the top, you have a wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee and the entire Chiemgau region. You then ride back a little and climb up the trail on the left, first pushing, then riding onto the next trail. This not very difficult trail leads to the forest road straight ahead to the Staudacher Alm. Leave it on the left and ride over the small stream and continue up and down across the meadows. In the forest, the trail becomes a little steeper and leads back onto a cart track. After a while, the trail goes uphill again until you reach a small moor that you have to cross. This is where the forest road begins to descend steeply down to the Weiße Ache. You ride into the river valley and soon very steeply uphill to Eschelmoos. Now a longer forest road ride begins. After a few kilometers, turn right and ride along the forest road until you reach a fork in the forest. Now you can ride a few more meters across this meadow until you have to push your bike up to the saddle. On the left-hand side, you can see the Jochbergalm above you, which invites you to stop for a bite to eat. Otherwise, continue straight ahead on the trail. The trail becomes a forest road that rides back to Marquartstein. In the lower section, you can take a shortcut via a technical, rocky trail.

one of my favorite tours, at least once a year, Jochbergalmen have self-service drinks if not open (so don't forget your coins), and ANTICLOCKWISE!!!!
It's better the other way around, then you'll have nice descents instead of pushing/steep ones.
I rode the tour today. Very beautiful scenery, there are always great views.
The trails are all quite easy (S0-S1). However, most of the elevation gain is on forest roads.
Riding technique 3 is probably only due to the short technical trail described at the end, which has a few blocked stone steps.
A nice tour for fitness bikers; too few and too easy trails for enduro bikers.
